Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG) & Access Router

Disaggregated Cell Site Gateways (DCSG) is a white-box cell site gateway device based on an open and disaggregated architecture for existing 2G/3G/4G and future 5G mobile infrastructures.

DCSG is a 1RU full-featured cell site router with a variety of client and network Ethernet connectivity options. DCSG supports Layer-2, Layer-3, and MPLS features as a cell site gateway, as well as native time synchronization protocols like IEEE-1588 v2 and Synchronous Ethernet for mobile base stations.

RJ45 or SFP Gigabit Ethernet ports are commonly used to connect mobile base stations to a cell site gateway. Base stations will also utilize 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ connections to match the higher capacity necessary in modern 4G and upcoming 5G networks. As a result, the majority of cell site routers now in use are inadequate for carrying 5G base station traffic.

The Open Optical & Packet Transport (OOPT) Project Group within the Telecom Infra Project (TIP), in conjunction with several leading global mobile operators - Vodafone, Telefonica, TIM Brazil, BT, and Orange - produced the definition of an open white-box cell site gateway device that operators can widely deploy in their current 2G/3G/4G cell sites, but that also supports the port speeds and densities which will be required for 5G networks.

We also offers open and disaggregated hardware platforms that host Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) soſtware components from different NOS soſtware vendors, forming a BNG solution. The BNG solution includes disaggregated BNG soſtware from partners such as RtBrick, Altran, Casa Systems, and Benu Networks. Our BNG solution supports different deployment models and scalability configurations. The hardware is compatible to the industry top solution providers by using their operating systems on top of our open network hardware platform.

Aggregation Router

Carriers and cloud service providers are aiming to improve their network infrastructure in anticipation of the arrival of 5G mobile networks, which will result in a significant rise in bandwidth due to new innovative services and an increase in the number of users. Our solution provide an open networking platform that serves a variety of use cases, including core, metro, and aggregation routers.

The hardware is compatible to the industry top networking and aggregation solution providers by using their operating systems on top of our open network hardware platform.

Core Network Router (400G & 100G)

With the introduction of 5G mobile networks, carrier and cloud service providers are planning to upgrade their network infrastructure to address the major growth in bandwidth driven by new innovative services and the increased number of users.

Our solution based on Broadcom StrataDNX family chipsets with deep buffers design, accelerated table lookup, high port density, and horizontal scale-out flexibility, providing an open and disaggregated platform that serves a variety of use cases, including core, metro, and aggregation routers.

OPTICAL LINE TERMINAL (OLT)

Disaggregated 10G PON OLT is a whitebox OLT that will enable service providers to deploy 10G PON services from Central Office Re-architected as a Datacenter (CORD) infrastructures, and support open source SDN and NFV software, including OCP-ACCEPTEDTM leaf/spine switches, Ethernet edge switches, as well as residential and business-service delivery.
